Uzbekistan's Migration Agency has announced a selection competition for truck drivers seeking work in Germany. The programme is run in cooperation with the German firm RecruitMed and aims to place qualified, experienced drivers in Germany's freight-forwarding and logistics sector.

Salary and conditions

According to the agency, the monthly salary is €1,800 net after tax — paid until the driver's qualifications are formally recognised in Germany, after which pay rises. There are 50 positions in total. Candidates must hold category C and CE driving licences and have at least two years of professional experience. The post is permanent with a six-month probation; the listing also cites social protection and medical insurance.

Age and document requirements

The age limit is 40, rising to 45 for drivers holding a Code 95 (Schlüsselzahl 95) professional competence certificate. Candidates are selected through online interviews with German employers, held with interpreter support on 6 and 10 November.

Free language training

Selected drivers undergo six months of free German-language training at Tashkent's Intel international centre before departure, targeting B1 level. Classes run five days a week, and dormitory accommodation is provided.

Context

Demand for truck drivers in Germany is high: according to industry associations, the country is short of more than 70,000 — and by some estimates up to 120,000 — professional drivers, as retirements outpace new entrants each year. The drive continues Uzbekistan–Germany cooperation on organised labour migration; the Migration Agency advertises overseas jobs through its 'Work Abroad' system. In May 2026 it advertised 50 transport and logistics positions in Munich at €2,000–€3,000.
